| What is motion
detection and how does that work? Motion detection is a powerful feature of the program that will record and notify you of video only when it detects motion. Motion is triggered by movement such as someone walking in the room. This feature is helpful because it only begins storing video when it detects motion. This also makes it easy for you to see. The program gives you full control to set the sensitivity of the motion, from small to very precise levels. (Back to top) |
| What kind of Alert
features does this have? Visec can email you a warning every time it detects motion. You can have the email sent to your phone, pager, office or other communication device that is capable of receiving emails. The warning can consist of the specific motion that triggered the alert (e.g. a stranger in your home during the day), a text message or both. | What kind computers
does this work on and what are the requirements? The software works with Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP and Vista. The mininum requirements is aPentium 800 Ghz Processor+ Windows 98, ME. XP, 2000 and 256 mbs ram For optimal performance we recommend using a pentium 4 processor, with Windows XP, or Windows 2000, and 512 megabytes ram. | Can I use multiple
Cameras? USB cameras: - Many users have successfully use 2 and even 3 or 4 USB cameras with no problems. Using different brands of cameras works best because there is no conflict with the driver. There are some cameras that do not allow multiple camera support due to weak drivers. We recommend using name brand cameras as well as the most current drivers. Note, if you want to use more than 3 cameras we recommended using a multi port capture card or even firewire camera. (see below for a professional capture card solution)  (Capture Card. Can I use a wirless

| What cameras do you
recommend? For home and small business use, almost any USB camera will do a nice job. If you want to do hidden surveillance, or for oudoor use we recommend some special analog cameras. Work? Visec has a feature that turns a computer in a fully functional web sever, enabling you to login directly to your computer from anywhere you have Internet Access. Our website works in conjunction with the Visec program installed on your computer to make the login process easy. In order to enable this feature, you must a) leave your computer connected and b) Enable the Live Video feature. The entire process is secure, and no one is allowed to access it but you. | Can I run the program

open invisibly without the transition effect when my computer starts

Can I record more than 2GB of Video? There is no limit. Visec can
record as much video as your hard disk contains.
If your disk drive is not set to NTFS you can also easily convert it to NTFS using a basic command:
